What does this have to do
with Guy Fawkes?
Guy (Guido) Fawkes, who
cashed in his inheritance to go play soldier in the late 1500's, was part
of a 13 person conspiracy to blow up Parliment because it wasn't Catholic
enough. He got caught, ratted out the other 12, and committed suicide after
watching them be put to death. On November 5th. For some reason he has a
day named after him and is glorified in the movie "V for
Vendetta" and now by Anonymous.
Why
Facebook?
Facebook
isn't government, or even Protestant as far as I know, or run by alien Masons,
so it can't be man's struggle against oppression.
Anonymous' ramble is below so you can read it for yourself and maybe
you can figure it out. The news people can't figure it out, I can't figure
it out, but one thing that keeps coming up like so much warm PBR, is a
complaint about the difficulty in removing Facebook account
stuff.
Anonymous
is coming down all righteous on this but maybe there's a more simple
explaination. Is it possible someone, who shall remain Anonymous,
has embarassing photos from last weekend's Dungeons and Dragons
sleep-over posted on someone else's Facebook account
and because he can't figure out how to delete them has gone into
a Mountain Dew and Snickers fueled nerd rage? Nah.
Anonymous would only use it's power for good.
Like
protecting us from little McKay Hatch and his No Cussing
Club. "In January 2009 members of Anonymous targeted California
teen McKay Hatch who runs the No Cussing Club, a website against
profanity. As Hatch's home address, phone number, and other personal
information were leaked on the internet, his family has received a lot of
Hate Mail, lots of prank calls, and even bogus pizza delivery and

Like
sharing pornography with unsuspecting 12 year olds. "On May 20,
2009, members of Anonymous uploaded numerous pornographic videos onto
YouTube. Many of these videos were disguised as children's videos or
family friendly videos with tags such as "Jonas
brothers." YouTube has since removed all videos uploaded. The BBC
contacted one of the uploaders who stated that it was organized due to the
removal of music videos from YouTube. BBC News reported that one
victim posted a comment saying: "I'm 12 years old and what is
this?" "(Wikipedia.)
What
is Anonymous really upset with Facebook about? Here you go, straight from
the horse's mouth, or maybe the other end;
Attention citizens of the world,
We wish to get your attention, hoping
you heed the warnings as follows:
Your medium of communication you all so dearly adore will be destroyed. If
you are a willing hacktivist or a guy who just wants to protect the freedom
of information then join the cause and kill facebook for the sake of your
own privacy.
Facebook has been selling information
to government agencies and giving clandestine access to information
security firms so that they can spy on people from all around the world.
Some of these so-called whitehat infosec firms are working for
authoritarian governments, such as those of Egypt and Syria.
Everything you do on Facebook stays on
Facebook regardless of your "privacy" settings, and deleting your
account is impossible, even if you "delete" your account, all
your personal info stays on Facebook and can be recovered at any time.
Changing the privacy settings to make your Facebook account more
"private" is also a delusion. Facebook knows more about you than
your family.
You cannot hide from the reality in
which you, the people of the internet, live in. Facebook is the opposite of
the Antisec cause. You are not safe from them nor from any government. One
day you will look back on this and realise what we have done here is right,
you will thank the rulers of the internet, we are not harming you but
saving you.
The riots are underway. It is not a
battle over the future of privacy and publicity. It is a battle for choice
and informed consent. It's unfolding because people are being raped,
tickled, molested, and confused into doing things where they don't understand
the consequences. Facebook keeps saying that it gives users choices, but
that is completely false. It gives users the illusion of and hides the
details away from them "for their own good" while they then make
millions off of you. When a service is "free," it really means
they're making money off of you and your information.
Think for a while and prepare for a
day that will go down in history. November 5 2011.
This is our world now. We exist
without nationality, without religious bias. We have the right to not be
surveilled, not be stalked, and not be used for profit. We have the right
to not live as slaves.

sure sound mad. Maybe you agree with them, even sympathize with
them, even want to join them. Remember this; Being a part of
DDoS attacks, maybe even taking part in this Anonymous attack on Facebook,
is punishable by 10 years in prison. At least according to
the FBI.
Maybe
it's just a hoax. Some people say it is. I hope so. Because if it's real,
and Facebook ceases to be, America's Colleges and Universities could see
more window jumpers than the stock market crash of 1929. Headlines
could read; "Facebook Destroyed. Death Toll Climbs!".
Facebook will be "destroyed" on November 5th, it's
a hoax, it's for real, you're in, you're not, that's your call, and that's
