"..and he dresses like a Cholo." piqued my
interest. What is this, "Cholo"?
Searching for the meaning of Cholo took me on
a wonderful late night adventure into the world of YouTube, and
"Cholo Adventures".
Cholo
Adventures, by SUPEReeeGO and Sleepy Brown, was really helpful, and
had millions of viewers. It was surprising to me that so many
people were doing the same research I was.
Chola
Adventures, by eGA and Sleepy B*tch, was also very helpful, and
lots of people seem to use those for research too.
Less popular amateur videos posted by the Cholas and
Hynas were very interesting, and shorter, and many were created and
shared using something called One True Media. Which then piqued my
interest.
One True Media has a free version, which is what the
Cholas and Hynas were using. It lets you upload pictures and videos
to the One True Media website. Once there you can slice, dice, and
add music and text to your heart's content.
Once your heart is content you can share your
creation with the world. Your video plays on the One True Media
website and all you do is send a link to your friends. You can
change your video while friends have access to the posted version
and publish the final cut whenever you're ready.
They have a paid version too. $4 a month gets you a
large library of music, lifts the limit on how long your videos can
be, and gives you additional sharing options. You can
upload to your Facebook profile or post a link to your news feed,
post to your YouTube account, Tweet, Blog or download.
One
True Media helps you create videos in well
defined and simple steps. Upload, Edit and Sequence, Apply a Style,
Add Music, and Add a Text Slide.
Uploading is as easy as browsing and choosing. Edit lets you trim videos, set how
long pictures are displayed, pick transitions, add comments, and
adjust sound. You sequence everything there too, so you don't have
to worry about uploading in any particular order. Styles include
wedding, sports, anniversary, Sweet 16, bachelor party, all the
life events you'd want to immortalize. There's a lot of music to
choose from and you can have several songs on your video. Text
slides at the beginning and end wrap it up pretty nicely.
Anybody can do it, even a Cholo like me, and to
prove it here's a 1:16 video of a Dragon Boat Festival created and
shared using One True Media.

With my research complete I'm leaning like a
Cholo, elbows up, side to side, and you can too, but that's
your call, and that's Cocktail Talk.
